This arrangement presents the famous Arioso from Cantata BWV 156 by Johann Sebastian Bach.

The music is written in C Major to make the piece more accessible for developing cellists. The arrangement keeps the lyrical melody of the original work while simplifying the technical demands.

The duet format allows two players to perform together. Violoncello I presents the main melody while Violoncello II supports the harmony and bass line.

This version is ideal for students who want to explore Bach’s melodic style while developing ensemble playing, tone control, and musical phrasing.

The score includes the duet score and both individual parts for Violoncello I and Violoncello II.
