Les Larmes de Jacqueline is one of the most famous lyrical works written by Jacques Offenbach.
Although Offenbach is widely known for his operas, this piece shows his ability to write deeply expressive music for cello. The title translates to “Jacqueline’s Tears,” and the melody reflects a dramatic and emotional character typical of Romantic era music.
This edition presents an Easy / Intermediate version designed for developing cellists. The arrangement keeps the expressive character of the original work while making the technical demands more accessible for students. The piece is ideal for studying lyrical bow control, phrasing, and expressive tone. It also works beautifully for recitals and musical storytelling.
This edition follows the CelloCoach teaching format and includes clear fingerings and bowings to help students approach the music with confidence.
